2025 Ford Escape
The 2025 Ford Escape continues its mission to deliver versatility and comfort in the competitive compact SUV segment. Designed for both daily driving and longer trips, the Escape offers a sleek exterior, a comfortable interior, and a variety of design and safety features.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Ford Escape is available in five trims levels. The base Active trim comes with black beltline and upper window molding, body-color door handles, and 17-inch Shadow Silver-painted aluminum wheels. The sporty-looking ST-Line variant has 18-inch Rock Metallic-painted aluminum wheels, a black mesh grille, and large single-wing spoiler that creates an athletic profile. The ST-Line Select includes LED fog lamps, body-color heated mirrors for improved visibility, and optional black roof-rail crossbars. An LED light bar and chrome beltline molding add sophistication to the Platinum trim, as well as 19-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels. The ST-Line Elite maintains the ST-Line Select's sporty character while incorporating additional premium elements such as a bold grille and spoiler and additional color choices.
Engine (Power)
There are two powerful engines to choose from. The Active and ST-Line feature a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. For more power, the ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Platinum trims come equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is also available across all trims.
Performance
The 2025 Escape delivers composed handling across various driving scenarios. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost with all-wheel drive accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds, while the more powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost with all-wheel drive completes it in just 5.8 seconds. Towing capability ranges from 1,500 to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. Selectable drive modes, including Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Normal, allow drivers to optimize their vehicle response based on conditions and preferences.
Interior
This SUV's comfortable interior seats up to five passengers with 40 inches of front row legroom. Cargo space measures 37.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expanding to 65.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The 60/40-split folding rear seats include up to 5.9 inches of slide adjustment so passengers can customize their legroom or increase cargo space as needed. Higher trims feature a 13.2-inch touchscreen display, leather-trimmed seats, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, and a 10-way power driver's seat with memory function.
Safety Features
The 2025 Ford Escape comes with Ford Co-Pilot360 technology, which includes features such as pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, and a lane-keeping system. There is also automatic high-beam headlamps and a rear view camera for greater driver visibility and awareness. Higher trims include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, a 360-degree camera system, a head-up display, and Active Park Assist 2.0.
